About Us

The Deep Fried Film Festival is an Annual event held in Lanarkshire Scotland. The 2008 festival will run August 2008. The festival is open to everyone and has some rare policies for a film festival:

  • All entrance to screenings are free.
  • Entrants pay the same submission fee regardless of genre, status or film length.
  • Where possible the festival aims to screen all films.
  • The festival is funded purely by sponsorship and submission fees.

By involving the local community, raising awareness of independent film and creating film making opportunities the Deep Fried Film Festival intends to help filmmakers get access to necessary practical and theoretical resources, filmmakers realise their abilities and promote themselves to a larger audience.
